The newly unveiled HTC Desire 626s smartphone will be up for grabs via Sprint Prepaid for $130 from July 19 onwards.

On Wednesday, July 15, HTC introduced four new handsets from the Desire series, which included the Desire 520, Desire 526, Desire 626 and Desire 626s. The Taiwanese smartphone maker announced that the handsets will be available via a number of carriers in the U.S. but did not reveal the pricing of any of the handsets.

Customers can grab the new HTC Desire 626s in the Marshmallow White color from Sprint Prepaid starting Sunday, July 19.

Sprint Prepaid plans are quite straightforward. For $35 a month, customers can get unlimited texts and calls and 1GB data allowance. Customers who think that the 1GB data allowance per month is not enough can opt for the $45 or $55 plan that offers unlimited calls and texts and 3GB and 6GB data allowances.

Many customers do not want the hassle of lengthy contracts, so going prepaid is the best option for them.

The HTC Desire 626s is a pocket-friendly handset that has modest specs. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 210 processor clocked at 1.1GHz and 1GB RAM. The Desire 626s sports a 5-inch HD touchscreen display with 1,280 × 720 pixels resolution and 294 pixels per inch (ppi).

The handset is equipped with an 8MP rear-facing camera and 2MP front-facing camera. The Desire 626s has 8GB internal storage that can be increased by an additional 2TB with a microSD card.

A 2,000mAh battery powers the handset. HTC has not revealed the standby time and the talk time that the Desire 626s will offer.

Sprint Prepaid is not the only one that will offer the Desire 626s in the U.S. T-Mobile will also offer the latest HTC handset for $170 or for $0 down payment followed by $7.09 equal instalments of 23 months with a final payment of $6.92. Customers can get the handset from July 22.

MetroPCS will start selling the Desire 626s from August this year. MetroPCS will send an email notification to customers who pre-register for the Desire 626s.
