In case you haven't yet marked it on your calendar, Oct. 21, 2015, is a very important day. Not only does that mark Back to the Future's 30th anniversary, but most believe that it's the exact day that Marty McFly and Doc Brown visit in Back to the Future II when the pair traveled to the year 2015.

In honor of that very special day, Universal Pictures plans on releasing a few goodies to mark the occasion. That's right, this October, where we're going, we don't need roads, because we'll all be home watching all three Back to the Future movies on a special edition Blu-ray collection of the films.

On Oct. 20, 2015, the new Back to the Future 30th Anniversary Trilogy arrives on both Blu-ray and DVD. But that's not all: the collection also features additional content, including all 26 episodes of Back to the Future: The Complete Animated Series, which has never before seen a DVD release. The collection also features a bonus disc with two hours of new content and a 64-page book about the movies. And it all comes wrapped up nice and neat in packaging that resembles a flux capacitor.

"Experience the future all over again with the Back to the Future 30th Anniversary Trilogy!" writes Universal in a press release. "Join Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox), Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) and a time traveling DeLorean for the adventure of a lifetime as they travel to the past, present and future, setting off a time-shattering chain reaction that disrupts the space time continuum! From filmmakers Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, this unforgettable collection features hours of bonus features and is an unrivaled trilogy that stands the test of time."

Of course, some of us want to relive the experience of going Back to the Future on the big screen when it returns to theaters on Oct. 21 (check your local theater listings).

Universal also plans on releasing a 30th anniversary soundtrack on vinyl, which hits stores on Oct. 16 (although if you don't have your old record player, you can still download the 30th anniversary version of the soundtrack for your mobile device).

So hop in your DeLorean and head to your nearest Blu-ray and DVD retailer or visit your favorite retailer online. It's time to relive the future, which happens now, or at least on Oct. 21.
