Since its release in 1995, the adorable and yet powerful pocket monster creation of Satoshi Tajiri has captured the hearts and imagination of people all over the world.

With the release of Pokemon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages' trailer this week in Japan, many fans got a surprise as the new trailer for next year's upcoming Pokemon movie seemed to reveal a new addition to the 721 existing Pokemons.

According to reports, a viewer named Gin reportedly shared some sketches and details about the mysterious new Pokemon.

"She describes it as being bright green with one eye larger than the other. During the trailer for next years movie, its eye looked through the O of the word Pokémon and then it blobbed about. This was then followed by the large new Pokemon silhouette revealed on July 12th. Gin has kindly provided a few possible sketches of this Pokemon, but it is likely to differ greatly. It of course could still be an alternate form, a weird separated part of a new form of an existing Pokemon or something completely new, but it remains to be seen."

One of the sketches Gin shared seems to indicate that the new pocket monster has a red stomach, while another sketch depicted how the blob-looking Pokemon revealed itself in the trailer.

Hopefully the succeeding trailers, teasers and posters will offer more detail about the currently unnamed Pokemon that has gotten fans all up in a tizzy.

The Clash of Ages movie is based on the renowned Pokemon Hoopa of the sixth generation Pokemon video game. The movie finds our beloved heros Pikachu and Ash in an unknown location with their friends after being sucked into a portal. Together with Hoopa, the gang embarks on a journey to stop a terrifying Pokemon from unleashing his rage and wreaking havoc on everything and everyone.

An English version of Hoopa and the Clash of Ages is set to be released sometime this year.
