And here's the star of today's internationally simulcast show, the eagerly awaited latest generation of Motorola's flagship Moto X brand. The new handset has been deemed the Moto X Style, an attempt to focus on the handset's keen focus on design. The X Style has a 5.7-inch display packed into a surprisingly small body. Below that are a pair of front-facing stereo speakers.

The curved back of the handset is rubber-coated silicon designed to avoid fading. Users can also choose leather, metal and sustainable wood technology. Also on the rear is a completely revamped camera with a 21-megapixel sensor. Motorola has taken a special interesting in imaging – something lacking on past editions of the phone.

The handset also boasts fast-charging technology – the fastest in the world, according to the company.

Here in the U.S., users can buy the Pure Edition of the phone – an unlocked, unskinned handset with easily swappable SIMs with Universal LTE functionality.

The exact pricing has yet to be revealed, but Motorola promises it will run $399 when it arrives in September. The handset will be available through Best Buy, Amazon and Motorola's site.
