One can purchase tickets to sports games, concerts and live theater via StubHub. That's the fun part.

However, the annoying aspect of attending a live event is arranging how you're going to get to the venue and home afterwards...especially if you don't drive yourself.

Well, StubHub has taken a big step in helping to solve that problem by teaming with Uber. According to reports, an Uber feature is now available on StubHub's Android and iOS apps. Now, once tickets are purchased via smartphone, StubHub and Uber will let customers schedule a reminder to request a pick-up ride.

"This integration marks another step towards StubHub's vision to become an end-to-end live entertainment service, moving users from discovery to purchasing to planning," StubHub's head of mobile Parag Vaish said in a statement to Fortune.

If the tickets are purchased in advance, StubHub will prompt users with a reminder offer that they should schedule an Uber ride as the event draws near. With last-minute ticket purchases—considered less than two hours before the event starts—consumers will be able to book an Uber ride directly from StubHub's order page. First-time Uber riders will even receive a $20 voucher, as part of the StubHub partnership.

This collaboration makes perfect sense, especially after live sports and concerts, where hundreds, if not thousands, of fans can often be inebriated upon exiting stadiums and venues. Instead of worrying about your safety and the safety of others, why not just schedule an Uber ride before hand and enjoy the live event with some peace of mind?

Smart partnership.
