Remember the good ol' days, when you could go to your local Vegas-like knock-off casino and play a penny slot or two? Meet the machine that killed the dream: a pachinko based on Castlevania, which promises "erotic violence." This is why we can't have nice things.

Konami, the name behind beloved franchises like Silent Hills, Metal Gear, and more, has come out with a pachinko machine – an arcade-like gambling device popular in Japan – based off its Castlevania flagship franchise, a game series that centers on a clan of vampires and its battle against Dracula.

A trailer of the promised pachinko features some stomach-churning, sexually-objectifying close shots of scanitly clad female characters, as well as a villainous laugh or two in the background. And then, of course, this:

According to Digital Trends, the release of the pachinko machine might have to do with financial difficulties concerning "declining profits in the console sector." The mass popularity of pachinko parlors in Japan, therefore, makes this a no-brainer. And because most pachinko establishments cater to young men, the "erotic violence" marketing angle makes a bit more sense, even if it doesn't necessarily excuse it.

Here's the link to the trailer for the Castlevania pachinko machine, but don't say we didn't warn you.
