Apple has released a new beta version of iOS 9, bringing a number of new features to the operating system, including support for Wi-Fi calling on AT&T.

Previously, Wi-Fi calling was limited to customers of T-Mobile, however, it is now clear that the final version of iOS 9 will enable the feature on a number of carriers.

Of course, it's important to note that AT&T itself currently does not offer Wi-Fi calling for any device, but the company has promised that the feature will be available at some point later this year.

Apple has also made a few tweaks to the interface of CarPlay, the company's in-car infotainment system. These tweaks include things like larger artwork for the heart button to like songs, which should help users be able to concentrate more on driving. The company has also made some changes to the "Now Playing" screen.

Another addition to the software is a slew of new wallpapers, ranging from photos of planets to other, more abstract images. Apple has also brought back some old favorites, including the stock images that were found on the iPhone 5c.

Next up is the fact that Apple has reworked the "Handoff & Suggested Apps" feature, removing the ability for users to get suggestions on the App Store from the lock screen. Users will, however, see suggestions for apps that they have already installed.

Users will also be able to shuffle all of their music with a new button found at the top of the music app. This will mean that users will not have to create playlists in order to shuffle their music, but instead can simply shuffle their entire library.

In the last few years, Apple has made a number of changes to how the keyboard works, and the new iOS 9 beta is no exception. The company has changed the glyphs on the delete shift and dictation keys.

An interesting new feature in iOS 9 is called "Wi-Fi Assist," and it basically allows users to tell their phone to automatically switch to cellular data connections when the user has a poor Wi-Fi connection. This will be helpful for users who want to avoid having their phone automatically connect to bad Wi-Fi hotspots.

Other small tweaks can be found throughout the software, however, many of them are extremely minor. For example, the labels for the call, message and FaceTime buttons have been removed within Siri, so users now simply have icons to tell them which button is which.
