It's sad to say goodbye to the blockbuster movies and the hodgepodge that is TV in the summer. However, fall's entertainment offerings are not too shabby.

Actually, when it comes to new movies and TV shows, fall is where it's at. This is when the new TV season officially begins and when the awards season film contenders start to hit theaters. If you want quality new entertainment, you needn't really look for it at any other time but in the fall.

Luckily, it looks like the same holds true for new movies and TV shows available to stream on HBO Now, at least as far as this coming September goes. With a subscription to HBO Now, you'll be able to catch the new original programming hitting HBO next month, including Will Ferrell's new baseball comedy special Ferrell Takes the Field, a new season of the comedy series Doll & Em and VICE's special report on prisons, which will feature President Barack Obama's historic first visit to a federal prison.

HBO Now will also add some recent movie releases that are sure to soon be favorites and some classic films you already love. This includes Unbroken, Wild and Exodus: Gods and Kings, as well as Blade Runner, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Titanic. Then, don't forget that movies like Edge of Tomorrow, Girl, Interrupted and Moulin Rouge! will all be leaving HBO Now in September, so you're going to want to be sure to stream them before the month is out, too.
