As you may recall, the feud between Metal Gear director Hideo Kojima and the series publisher, Konami, reached its boiling point when rumors started to swirl that the famous video game designer would cut ties with Konami after Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was finished. However, Konami tried to have the last word by removing the text "A Hideo Kojima Game" from the title's box art back in July.

Even though the publisher has taken Kojima's name off the box, this Australian retailer made it very clear to its consumers who really should be credited for the game.

The Australian retailer JB Hi-Fi trolled Konami by hanging a bright yellow sign on top of the display case for the latest Metal Gear Solid game that reads exactly what was left off the box: "A Hideo Kojima Game."

Gamers have caught other displays that also included the phrase in other retail stores across the country. Kojima even went on to retweet one of the photos last week.

All the displays, as photographed by Kotaku Australia, feature the phrase handwritten by employees in bold lettering behind bright colors to make sure it stands out. Some displays feature the phrase on top, others toward the bottom, with signs urging customers to preorder now.

Even though Kojima will no longer stay with Konami, he did stay true to his word and see the project through until the end. Thus far, early reviews for the game are positive, with many sites going as far to say Phantom Pain is the best title from the franchise as of yet.

Metal Gear Solid 5 : The Phantom Pain hits shelves September 1 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
