Gazelle offers a buyback service that caters to iPhone device owners who have a plan to purchase the upcoming iPhone 6s flagship model.

Customers can get as much as $450 in cash when they decide to get an upgrade and are assured that they are getting a deal that's competitive enough to rival other offers, such as those coming from Apple's own buyback program or from the four huge U.S. carriers.

According to Gazelle, now is the perfect time to earn some funding for an upgrade by simply trading in one's current iPhone before it finally loses its value. From today until Sept. 9, the company's Best Price Guarantee offer will allow customers to receive cash after trading in their old iPhones, which is not like the one offered by carriers where customers get trade-in values in terms of credit.

The offer would cover at least seven iPhone models which are eligible for the trade-in. These include the iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4.

There are several criteria used in determining the value of the handset for trade-in. First, it depends on the model and the storage size. Next, it will depend on whether the handset is in flawless, good or broken condition. The third basis is the handset's carrier type.

Flawless iPhones can have trade-in prices that range from $7 to $450. Owner of newer models such as the iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 6 can also expect to get higher trade-in prices compared to those who own earlier models such as the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S.

Users should be able to assess their iPhones by visiting Gazelle's official site. They need to know beforehand the iPhone model that they own, the carrier and the storage capacity. They also need to "honestly" disclose the handset's condition. A "Broken" condition means that it does not turn on or it has serious physical damage. A "Good" condition means that the device shows normal signs of use. Lastly, a "Flawless" condition means that it looks as if it's never been used at all.

After giving all these details, the customer will then be asked to sign in to his Gazelle account where he will be asked to give his preferred payment method. This can be in the form of PayPal, a check or an Amazon Gift Card. There is also a voluntary option to donate the proceeds of the sale of the customer's used iPhone to charity.

Gazelle has been in the trade-in business since 2007. Apart from the iPhones, the company also accepts trade-ins for old MacBooks and iPads.
