Better late than never, right? It wasn't new for IFA, but we we still managed to play around with Sony's new SmartWatch 3, and figured it was worth a mention here — at least until we get our hands through the fascinating new crowdsourced Wena Wrist.

I have to say, having played with my share of wearables, it's a solid little Android Wear product. It's quick, it's bright and it's extremely responsive. It's also modular, which is a big plus for these products — easily popped into and out of a slew of different bands.

It's a little bit on the large size for many users, but that's going to continue to be the major downside to most of the products for the first few generations. The other biggest problem on the Android Wear front is precisely what Sony will do to distinguish itself from the competition.

The interface is smooth and simple, but it's pretty tough to tell it apart from, say, Asus's offering. But then, that's what crowdsourcing is for, right?
