A new Android Wear smartwatch has just been released, and this time it's from Huawei.

The company made the announcement at IFA and added that the wearable will be landing on U.S. shores on Sept. 17. There are six different models included in the lineup, which means that even the most discerning customer will most likely find something from this range of designs.

Similar to the Samsung Gear S2, the Huawei Watch will also have a round circular display and body that features standard lugs and measures 42 millimeters in diameter. It has a physical crown that the company has aligned at the 2 o'clock radius on the watch body. Huawei touts the watch as having a "316L cold-forged stainless steel" body while the display is made with two layers of sapphire crystal, which makes it scratch-resistant.

Users can easily swap the watch bands, which come in a standard size of 18 millimeters and in six different design options: black leather, steel link bracelet, stainless steel mesh, black-plated link bracelet, alligator-pressed brown leather and rose gold-plated link bracelet. There's even a variety of watch faces for those who want to have more individuality in their wearable.

"Designed first and foremost as a watch, the Huawei Watch is unlike any smartwatch available today," said Zhiqiang Xu, president of Huawei U.S. "It embodies Huawei's technology innovation heritage, pursuit of premium design and integration of useful functionality that we strive to develop in each product."

The Huawei Watch features a 300mAh battery that promises to deliver up to two days of battery life. It also sports 4GB of internal memory, 512MB RAM, Android Wear 1.3, a built-in microphone, six-axis motion sensor and heart rate sensor. The latter is said to produce faster heart rate reading compared to the one performed by the Apple Watch.

"From a competitive standpoint, the Huawei Watch has a shorter time for initial value reporting versus Apple, clocking within 10 seconds, compared to 15-20 seconds with Apple," said a spokesperson for Huawei.

Other notable features include compatibility with iOS 8.2, 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, a gyroscope, accelerometer and barometer. Though it's an Android Wear watch, it can be paired with iPhones.

Customers can now preorder the watch at Huawei's site and also at Google Play Devices, Amazon and Best Buy.
