We're getting dangerous near the point in IFA where the weird, fun crowdfunded products start monopolizing the news cycle. Samsung, Sony, And Lenovo have all done their thing, and now it's time for companies like Magnified Self to shine - or, you know, glow very bright with an array of colors.

The company will be hitting Kickstarter at the end of the month with MixStik, a silicone-coated ruler sporting rows of colorful LED lights. You use the stick to measure the height and diameter of the glass, input that info accompanying Android or iOS app, which sets to work calculating the amounts amounts of various ingredients required to compose the perfect cocktail.

The stick lights up a portion of the stick with the designated color choice and the user pour the stuff up to there. And that's pretty much all there is to the Mixstik. The company is launching a Kickstarter campaign on September 29th, with early bird units priced at $39.
