Chris Pratt was busy filming Jurassic World when he heard about his father's death in 2014.

On Saturday, the actor felt a little nostalgic and decided to turn to Twitter where he shared a snapshot that was taken with his father and his elder brother who, just like him, was holding some fishing rods in the woods.

The snapshot was captioned with the words, "Your to do list: 1) have kids 2) play outside 3) teach them to fish 4) take pictures Thanks Dad. Miss you man."

In an interview with GQ that was published in June, Chris opened up about his father's death and how he tried to deal with it on his own since it occurred in the middle of filming Jurassic World.

"I knew, being the lead in the movie, that I was really responsible for everybody's attitude," said Chris.

According to Chris, his dad would usually show his own way of continual support.

"If I was on TV, he watched everything I was in."

In the snapshot that he posted, his dad is seen standing behind his two sons. Dan was wearing a cap, dark shades and a plaid shirt while Chris and elder brother Cully were in shorts and striped t-shirts. Both were seen flashing a wide smile from ear to ear.

In the meantime, Chris is reportedly busy with the filming of The Magnificent Seven which talks about how a group of armed men was in an old western village and trying to work together to offer help to the poor residents. The film also features multi-awarded actor Denzel Washington.

A few days ago, Chris posted a snapshot with one of his co-stars in the movie.

"Chilling on set with Korean superstar and all around great guy #ByungHunLee aka #BillyRocks of the #MagnificentSeven800 horse falls!!!"

Only recently, it was also confirmed that Chris will be reprising his character Owen in Jurassic World where he will be appearing alongside Bryce Dallas Howard. The sequel is scheduled to hit the theaters in June 2018.

The 2015 box office hit movie earned more than $1.6 billion in revenue and set a number of record-breaking titles, such as the biggest opening weekend movie in North America and worldwide, the third highest-grossing movie of all time, the highest grossing film of 2015 and the highest grossing movie in the Jurassic Park movie series.
