At IFA 2015, Sony announced that the Xperia Z5 handsets, the latest phone models from the series, are getting a number of special Style Cover Windows. Sony made it traditional to tend to its smartphone clients' needs by producing its own cases and protective boxes for the Xperia phones.

Users can opt for Style Cover Window SCR42 for Xperia Z5, Style Cover Window SCR44 for Xperia Z5 Compact and Style Cover Window SCR46 for Xperia Z5 Premium. Different colors are available: black, white and tan. Since the smartphones come in one of the three colors as well, the chromatic match is flawless.

The general design of the cases reminds users of the ones crafted for the Xperia Z3 and Z3+. Handsets can connect by NFC and the durability is guaranteed by making the phone water (IPX5/8*) and scratch resistant (3H). With the shock protection included, your phone will look and behave like new for a long time. Even when it's closed, you have access to a maximum of five apps or widgets through the "smart window" implemented by the designers.

When fully enclosed, the smart window measures a full 2.12 x 2.12 inches for the Xperia Z5 Compact and goes up to 2.51 x 2.51 inches for the Xperia Z5 Premium. Considering the protection it provides, the weight is negligible, as the protective case adds under 0.10 pounds to the weight of the Xperia.

Clients who opt for the Premium model get a 23MP camera and the world's first 4K smartphone. With such a configuration, a user will want all the protection one can get. What is more, the screen behind the windows case has an incredible resolution of 806 pixels per inch (ppi), more than double the iPhone 6 Plus', which is 401 ppi.

It is presumed that the three cases will come out when the new Xperia handsets hit the market. Information so far is that Sony will release the Z5 and Z5 Compact in October and the Z5 Premium in November. Although there is no word about the purchase cost of the Style Cover Window cases, it is likely that the price range will gravitate around $50, very close to the price of the Z3 line cover box.
