Nintendo is giving away another exciting Event Pokémon, and you'll need to grab it quickly before Sept. 15 because by then it will be gone to the ashes.

This particular Pokémon is called Shiny Rayquaza. It's a Dragon and flying type of Pokémon at level 70, so you know it can kick some serious butt on the Pokémon battlefield. Your friends will envy your new Pokémon battle buddy.

Expect this beast to come in a Cherish Ball with a Classic Ribbon. The original trainer is expected to be none other than Galileo. Apart from that, the Pokémon will have Dragon Fang as a Held Item and Air Lock as an ability.

Fans should also be excited to know that Dragon Ascent is also here, a move that will allow Shiny Rayquaza to Mega Evolve in battle and become something even more awesome.

As you can see, it's a powerful Pokémon, but how to get it under your belt? Well, it all depends on where you are because different methods work for different locations.

If you're in North America, connect to the Internet and visit the Mystery Gift menu. From there, you should be able to download the Pokémon from the Nintendo Network. (Valid from Aug. 12, 2015 - Sept. 14, 2015.)

Now, for those who are residing in Europe, you'll be required to visit Smithy's Toys store for a special code to get the Pokémon up and running on your system. (Valid from Aug. 24, 2015 - Sept. 21, 2015.)

Bear in mind that everything we've mentioned here will only work on Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire versions of Pokémon. This might turn out to be a huge issue for some with older Nintendo hardware that has fallen on the wayside.

We should also point out that each Event Pokémon comes with a Wonder Card. Only 24 Wonder Cards can be kept on any one cartridge.
