In October, Marvel is relaunching its entire universe with the "All-New, All-Different Marvel" initiative. Every comic is starting over with a brand new issue #1. As always, leading the charge are the Avengers.

All-New, All-Different won't just make way for one new Avengers series — Marvel is launching or re-launching no less than six Avengers teams and titles. Who are these new teams and how do certain heroes wind up on one of those teams? A special prologue issue aims to explain it all and set their respective stages. Tying them all together for this special issue is a mysterious, otherworldly figure who's watching the Avengers very closely for reasons unknown.

All-New, All-Different Avengers by Mark Waid and Andy Kubert, is the flagship Avengers series starring Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and hot newcomers like Ms. Marvel and Miles Morales. Al Ewing and Gerardo Sandoval take New Avengers in a drastic new direction with a team going under the moniker "Avengers Idea Mechanics." This new A.I.M. is a science-based team of future-focused heroes that include Sunspot, Songbird, Hulkling, Wiccan, Hawkeye and (shockingly) Squirrel Girl.

Uncanny Avengers returns to mix mutants (Rogue, Quicksilver and Deadpool — yes, Deadpool), homo sapiens (Spider-Man, Johnny Storm, Steve Rogers) and apparently some we're-shoving-them-down-your-throat-until-you-accept-them Inhumans, though it's not yet known which ones. Expect hijinks related to racial/prejudicial issues by Gerry Duggan and Ryan Stegman. Ultimates jumps over to the mainstream Marvel U thanks to Al Ewing and Kenneth Rocafort. This time, they're a team dedicated to fighting cosmic foes like Galactus. Captain Marvel leads Black Panther, America Chavez, Blue Marvel and Monica Rambeau.

A-Force by Willow Wilson and Jorge Molina unites pretty much every female Avenger ever under the leadership of She-Hulk. It's not known what the focus of James Robinson and Leonard Kirk's Squadron Supreme will be, only that it's bringing together Squadron characters from a variety of realities that were destroyed during Secret Wars.

Check out this preview art for Avengers #0, which features scripting and art by all of the names listed above and more. We're guessing it'll be an over-sized issue with an under-sized price. Marvel says it will be in comics stores on October 7, 2015.
