NBA 2K has got its man.

Less than two weeks away from the release of NBA 2K16, 2K announced Wednesday (September 16) that Indiana Pacers' star Paul George will cover its MyNBA2K16 mobile companion app.

As an avid gamer himself, the two-time All-Star forward couldn't be happier with the honor.

"I've been a long-time fan of the NBA 2K series and love staying close to the game when I'm on the road," George said in a press release statement for the highly-anticipated title. "Being selected as the face of MyNBA2K16  is the perfect opportunity to stay connected with the game, as well as represent the NBA 2K franchise."

The MyNBA2K16 companion app will extend the experience of the game with features such as the MyCareer display and MyPLAYER store, while offering users more ways to earn virtual currency as well as hitting them with new episodes of 2KTV right at their fingertips. The app will also include the collectible card game MyTEAM Mobile, allowing users to collect their favorite player cards and challenge competitors in quick games worldwide.

The 25-year-old George returned to the court at the end of last season—playing the final six games of the year—after suffering a gruesome compound leg fracture while playing with USA Basketball in August 2014.

Earlier this week, 2K released its Livin' Da Dream, A Spike Lee Joint trailer to further build anticipation for NBA 2K16, which is slated for a September 29 release.
