With so many dating apps available, Oscar Mayer—yes, the hotdog company—has decided to try its hand in the matchmaking world by launching its very own real-life dating app, appropriately called Sizzl.

Sizzl aims to match potential couples based on their bacon preferences, and it does not take the subject of bacon-dating lightly. Potential matches must first answer a bacon-related questionnaire that aims to find dates based on what truly matters in life: bacon.

Gone are the swipe right and left days. Sizzl has an innovative way of showing your level of interest in a match's profile picture. Just like cooking up a real piece of bacon, app users must press the Sizzl-meter button to rate a person's sizzle factor: the longer they hold press, the more sizzling the person is.

If you happen to be matched with someone who doesn't actually love bacon, the website states that you can easily report the blasphemer with a click of a button on their profile picture which says, "Doesn't love bacon."

According to Eric Dahmer, marketing director for Oscar Meyer, the dating app is the real deal, and they are happy to play cupid in a fun bacon-loving way.

"With the launch of Sizzl, we're thrilled to give our true bacon lovers the chance to find each other and potentially meet their soulmates, in life and in bacon,” he said.

At the moment, the app is only available to iOS bacon aficionados and, though you may scoff at the idea of a bacon-themed dating app as a mere marketing ploy, you can be sure that those who use the app to its fullest potential is bound to have a sense of humor and good taste in bacon.
