There's no denying that Dragon Age Inquisition was one of the bigger games of 2014. BioWare's latest fantasy epic was ridiculously big and finally managed to find the sweet spot between Origins' slower pace and Dragon Age II's overly-action-packed combat.

However, with the release of Inquisition's final DLC package, Trespasser, most would expect that Dragon Age would be taking a break.

As it turns out, that's not happening quite yet: hot off the heels of Trespasser's success, BioWare announced that Dragon Age Inquisition would be getting its very own Game of the Year Edition. From what BioWare has unveiled, it's a relatively standard package: anyone who picks up the GOTY Edition will receive the core game and all of its DLC packs, including the expansions Jaws of Hakkon, The Descent and Trespasser.

The fact that BioWare is releasing a Game of the Year Edition isn't all that surprising: the studio is no stranger to re-releasing its games in one big bundle. What's surprising is that, with a release date of Oct. 6, Dragon Age Inquisition's GOTY Edition will hit store shelves roughly one month after the game's final expansion pack.

While there's been no word on pricing just yet, it's safe to assume that BioWare will be charging the standard $60 for Inquisition's GOTY Edition. Considering each expansion cost $15 on their own, those who bought Inquisition and its DLC at launch have spent at least $100 — and that's not even taking the game's many smaller DLC packs into consideration.

At this point, there's no telling if BioWare plans to reward its most loyal fans — but as it stands, it looks like anyone who waited will be getting a far better deal than early adopters.

Dragon Age Inquisition: Game of the Year Edition is set to launch on Oct. 6.
