Walking through nature can have the double effect of being peaceful and being a moment in which we realize just how busy nature is. Some students in Estonia have realized this and decided to amplify the sounds of nature with a massive set of wooden megaphones.

The megaphones are featured in the Pähni Nature Centre in Estonia, which is known for being an "outdoor classroom" for local students. The piece itself was designed by Birgit Õigus, a student at the Estonian Academy of Arts.

"The three-meter diameter megaphones will operate as a 'bandstand' for the forest around the installation, amplifying the sounds of nature," said Hannes Praks, the head of the Interior Architecture Department at the Estonian Academy of Arts.

Visitors to the park can be found sitting inside the megaphones, experiencing the amplified sounds that they bring.

The megaphones also look to be a part of the nature that they amplify, featuring a classic finished wood design. Despite this, the stained wood likely won't last very long, as it will likely be reabsorbed by the forest over time, causing the condition of the wood to diminish.
