Usain Bolt is the fastest man alive today and probably for the next 10 to 20 years. With such a commanding status, the powerful Jamaican has earned quite the hatred from the American track and field department.

We came across a recent report about how American athletes at the recently held World Championships in Beijing refused to drink the Gatorade sports energy fluid with Usain Bolt's name and face on the bottle.

From what we have come to understand, Usain Bolt advertises the product, and he makes a bonus every time he is seen in an image or on video drinking Gatorade. The contract did not state that Bolt would earn cash should other athletes be seen drinking the product, so the actions by the American athletic team were quite unprofessional at best.

Jamaica Administrative Athletics Association Media Officer Dennis Gordon confirmed that the incident did happen. Gordon also revealed what might have caused the falling out, and if what we are about to say is true, then the rivalry between the Jamaicans and the Americans will definitely get heated in the next Olympics.

According to the report, everything kicked off from the track where the Americans were beaten by the Jamaicans to hold the second spot in the medal podium. The Americans had to settle for third position while Kenya took stood tall at the top of the podium for the first time. The issue then spilled over to the Kuntai Hotel in Beijing to the point where the Jamaicans were deemed as hooligans by their American counterparts.

"The hype going into the 100m final suggested that (Justin) Gatlin would have triumphed. On the bus, they were chanting USA! USA! Coming back, after Bolt's victory, our athletes took them on and were singing 'We are the champions of the world,' and it never went over well with them," Gordon pointed out.

Apparently, after Bolt defeated Gatlin in the 100m finals, athletes at the hotel were celebrating, and that caused the Americans to complain that they no longer want to stay in the same hotel as the Jamaicans because of their hooligan-like actions.

Gordon went on to add that when Ashton Eaton broke the world record in the decathlon, the Americans acted in similar manner, yet the Jamaicans were not offended.

It was not too long after this the Americans refused to drink Gatorade with Usain Bolt's face and name on the bottles.

While we do understand the feelings of the Americans, we have to point out that refusing to even take a sip of a drink because a rival's face is on it is not good sportsmanship. But hey, we could be wrong about this.
