The wait is almost over for the final episode of TellTale Games' Tales from the Borderlands episodic adventure game.

In anticipation of the final chapter's release, TellTale just unveiled a new trailer for the game's finale.

Tales from the Borderlands picks up in Pandora after events from Gearbox Software's Borderlands 2 title. The five-part episodic game series taps into Borderlands' trademark humor as it follows two adventurers on "a quest for greatness."

In Tales from the Borderlands, there are legends of a vault on Pandora that contains vast treasures. This attracts both vault hunters and a military-like corporation, Hyperion, to the planet. However, there are also other similar vaults throughout the galaxy, so the hunt is on to find the keys that can open these.

The five episodes tell their story through the choices made by the player, a storytelling style perfected by TellTale in its The Walking Dead video games. Gameplay involves choosing between several options, which then determines what happens next in the game. There are some moments that involve shooting, though, as seen in the original Borderlands games.

"Everyone thinks they're the hero of their own story," states the video at the end.

In the final episode of Tales from the Borderlands, titled "The Vault of the Traveler," Jack now controls Helios' systems and has decided to step up as the king of Hyperion. Of course, that means that everyone has to get out of the space station alive, while finding the final Gortys piece and finding their way back to Pandora.

"Can you guide our ragtag team through perilous corporate dangers in hopes of getting some sweet alien riches?" writes TellTale in an emailed press release. "Loyalties will be tested, secrets will be revealed, and explosions will be in large supply in this climactic chapter of Tales From The Borderlands."

The previous four episodes have already received a lot of praise, both from gamers and critics alike. GameSpot called the title "a beautiful new twist on the Borderlands experience with loveable (sic) leads and breathless action sequences."

Polygon rated the first episode highly, stating that the episode was "an enjoyable, violent and well-crafted introduction to the series."

Tales from the Borderland, episode five releases on Oct. 20 on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
