The all-Japanese cast for 'Resident Evil The Musical '— actually, its official name is "Biohazard: The Stage" — has been busy getting their lines and choreography together in time for the show's opening this month. Although the play is only scheduled to perform in Roppongi, Japan, who knows, perhaps if enough clamor for some action-filled zombie shooting singing and dancing is built up, the play may catch on like an infection and make it to a town near you.

'Resident Evil,' or 'Biohazard' as it is still known in Japan by its original title, seems to be an odd choice to translate into a stage play. However, as recently revealed rehearsal footage shows, the actors are taking their roles very seriously.

According to reports, the play will take place in an Australian setting. An outbreak occurs at Philosophy University and it's up to the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, with the help of a professor at the school, Rebecca Chambers, who happens to be an ex-Special Tactics and Rescue Service medic, to save the day.

The cast includes Seijiro Nakamura as Chris Redfield, a familiar name from the Biohazard franchise, and Rin Asuka as Chambers.
Another featured characters include Hiroshi Yazaki as Tyler Howard, a youth who knows a little too much about the sudden zombie outbreak.

Although the play is not set in Japan and hardly any of the characters are actually Japanese, other members of the all-Japanese cast are as follows:

Wataru Kuriyama as Piers Nivans
Haruki Kiyama as Barrington Myer
Atsushi Kimura as Lucas Butler
Yuji Kishi as Ryan Howard
Yoshiaki Umegaki as Posh Brown
Raychell as Sophie Home
Saya as Olivia Price
Shimon Okura and alternate Makoto Uenobori as Matthew Russel
Shinichi "Sonny" Chiba as Ezzler Sennet

"Biohazard: The Stage" will run at the Ex Theatre Roppongi from Oct. 21 through Nov. 1.
