On the lookout for a cheap handset that will not burn a hole in your wallet? You're in luck as Carphone Warehouse has started offering the Huawei Y3 for customers in the U.K.

The retailer claims that this is the cheapest ever smartphone deal available in the UK. Intrigued as to what the price of the Huawei Y3 is? The smartphone will set consumers back by £59.99 which is approximately $92.

For under $100, consumers will be able to grab the SIM-free and unlocked variant of the 4-inch Huawei Y3 smartphone from Carphone Warehouse.

Those who do not wish to shell out the complete sum upfront for the 3G compatible handset can avail of the £5 (approximately $7) per month plan from iD, which is the retailer's own mobile virtual network operator. This plan is for a two-year contract, which works out to £120 for 24 months, and will give users access to 5,000 texts, 150 minutes of talktime and 250 MB of data (3G) every month.

Consumers who want more data and talk time can shell out £7.50 (approximately $11) each month and get 250 minutes of talktime and 500 MB data. Alternately, the £12.50 (approximately $19) per month plan brings one 1 GB of data access for existing iD customers.

For the unfamiliar, the Huawei Y3 has a 4-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone houses a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 512 MB of RAM. The device has 4 GB of on-board memory which is expandable, a 5-megapixel primary camera, as well as a 2-megapixel one for selfies. It also comes pre-loaded with Android 4.4 KitKat.

However, the Huawei Y3 is not 4G compatible and has a 1730 mAh battery.

While the specs of the Huawei Y3 may not hit a home run with consumers, for the price of it, the smartphone is a great bargain. The device can be purchased online from Carphone Warehouse or picked up from its physical store. The Huawei Y3 is available in black or white.
