Google Calendar is a great planning tool, but there are some tweaks that could be made that would make it even better.

One of those tweaks was made today, with Google having added a new "trash can," which essentially allows users to delete events and then quickly undelete those events if an event has been rescheduled or if an event needs to be put back on the calendar.

"Today we're adding Trash functionality to Google Calendar on the web, providing an easy way for users to view, permanently delete, or restore individual and recurring deleted calendar events," said Google in a blog post on Nov. 5. "Trash puts calendar users in control by letting them quickly reverse any event mishaps, and limits escalations to Google Apps admins."

According to Google, the new feature was designed to work similar to how it does in Google Drive or in Gmail, essentially introducing ways to easily undo changes made. Trash is accessible from the calendar's dropdown menu in the "My calendars" section and from Calendar Settings.

The update itself will roll out over the next week to those who use Google Calendar. The first time a user deletes an event from a shared calendar after the launch, an email notification will be sent to them from Google Calendar, explaining the Trash options and details around sharing settings. Users can easily test them out for themselves.

The tweak shows users that Google may be working on a number of new products like Google Photos, but it hasn't forgotten about its older tools, like Calendar and Gmail.
