NVIDIA is cutting off the prices of its entire 900 series GEForce GTX cards as a way to give its customers another reason to celebrate this holiday shopping season.

The price cut is so far the first time that NVIDIA has launched on the GeForce 900 series since it hit the stores in late 2014. This will include models such as the GTX 980 Ti, GTX 980, the GTX 970, GTX 960 and GTX 950.

Let's take a closer look on each of these models.

GTX 980 Ti

According to the company's official site, the GTX 980 Ti "sets a new benchmark in gaming performance, delivering an exciting new level of capabilities. Accelerated by the groundbreaking NVIDIA Maxwell architecture, it has the advanced technologies and horsepower to take on even the most challenging games at high settings in 4K and provide smooth, immersive virtual reality."

This model can now be purchased at $559 after a rebate of $30 from MSI or at $579 after a rebate of $20 from EVGA. It was originally listed at the price of $649.

GTX 980

Launched in September 2014, the GTX 980 hit the stores at the price of $549. During the time of its launch, it was recognized as the fastest 900 series single GPU which continued until NVIDIA released the more expensive and larger GM200 GPU models this year. Rebates offers range from $20 to $30, which will allow consumers to purchase the GPU from $409 to $439.

GTX 970

This model also launched in September last year and has since become one of the most popular and best-selling graphics card of the company. While it had its share of controversy involving its 3.5 GB + 0.5 GB graphics memory along with several specifications that were allegedly inaccurate, the GTX 970 has managed to keep its competitive edge. From its original pricing of $329, the GTX 970 can now be purchased for as low as $259.

GTX 960

Launched earlier this year with a $199 price tag, the GTX 960 is NVIDIA's midrange model. Its notable features include 1,024 CUDA cores and GM206 Maxwell GPU. Customers can now purchase the GTX 960 at $149.

GTX 950

Dubbed as NVIDIA's entry level model, the GTX 950 features Maxwell based graphics card at 768 CUDA cores. From its original price of $159, the GTX 950 is now available for as low as $129.
