President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have been candid in sharing the things and ideas they are passionate about, in an interview sharing some of their favorite things and moments that made their 2015 more enjoyable.

They may be a literal power couple of the United States but the President of the U.S. (POTUS) and First Lady of the U.S. (FLOTUS) are just as excited about popular culture, and the Spotify playlists they shared in August and October are proof of that.

The couple have their favorite songs from among all the tracks released in 2015. The POTUS' pick is Kendrick Lamar's "How Much a Dollar Cost" while the FLOTUS loved Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk." You can even watch her dancing to it with Ellen DeGeneres beginning at 3:55 in the video below.

When it comes to the silver screen, the President enjoyed Director Ridley Scott's science-fiction drama flick, "The Martian," starring Matt Damon as Astronaut Mark Watney. The First Lady's pick, Pixar's "Inside Out," is actually perfect since she has been focused on projects that support the youth, and perhaps the film helped her understand and remember what it's like at their age so her campaigns are able to stick to real issues and help young people relate more.

What about their favorite moments? The POTUS actually named two. First is his adventure with Bear Grylls through the Alaskan wilderness where he ate a Salmon caught and gnawed on by a bear other than Bear, the "Running Wild" we'll see Dec. 17.

"I thought it was important to talk about protecting the only planet we have, but I never thought I'd be Running Wild with Bear Grylls," President Obama said.

The second is when the Supreme Court upheld the right of same-sex couple to marry and people gathered outside The White House in support.

As for the FLOTUS, she said anytime and anywhere she gets to spend her time with young people is a highlight, and that's probably a lot of times since her projects are in support of the youth. Mrs. Obama did mention one moment that struck her when she traveled to Cambodia to interact with schoolgirls for her Let Girls Learn initiative.

"One of them read me a poem she had written about Let Girls Learn... It was beautiful — I was trying so hard not to cry!" she said.

The couple gave interesting choices but we really want to see that Bear Grylls episode. Check out the sneak peek below if you want to see it too.
