Destiny's mysterious exotic gear merchant is still alive and well in 2016 and is still shelling out all of his usual goodies.

If you're a fan of shotgun antics, No Backup Plans for Titans is a solid pick thanks to its ability to grant the wearer a force barrier upon scoring shotgun kills. For Hunters who love not being ambushed, Knucklehead Radar lets you keep your eyes on your radar, even while aiming primary weapons. Warlocks this week can snag Apotheosis Veil, which immediately regenerates health, melee and grenade energy if you're wearing it when you activate your super powers.

The real star of Xur's show this week, however, is Dragon's Breath. While not quite as devastating as Gjallarhorn, this potent rocket launcher is certain to send enemies packing. Its special abilities mean you'll not only find more ammo for the weapon than usual, but after killing an enemy with your last rocket from the magazine (of which there is only one to begin with), you'll be granted a buff to reload speed. Long story short: you'll have more rockets and be able to shoot more of them thanks to the shorter reload times.

That makes Dragon's Breath an essential heavy weapon for any Destiny player, so go snag yours before Xur heads out for the weekend. You can use those strange coins gifted to you from Bungie for New Year's. Wondering where you can find the tentacle-faced merchant? He's against the wall in front of the area where the Speaker is found in the Tower. Upon spawning, go left, go down the tunnel and hang right in the main room. You can't miss him. Below are Xur's full wares.

Xur's Wares:

No Backup Plans, exotic Titan gauntlets — 13 Strange Coins

Apotheosis Veil, exotic Warlock helmet — 13 Strange Coins

Knucklehead Radar, exotic Hunter helmet — 13 Strange Coins

Dragon's Breath, exotic Rocket Launcher — 23 Strange Coins

Legacy Heavy Weapon Engram — 31 Strange Coins

See you next week!
