Although Batman: Arkham Knight has seen its share of PR messes since its release, Warner Bros. and Rocksteady hope to win fans' love back with a few special bonuses in January's DLC.

January's DLC includes Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #6 for the game. This is a pack put together by Rocksteady, after it asked the Arkham Knight community for feedback on what kind of content fans would like to see from previous games in the franchise.

"There will be six new AR Challenges added to the game, and we want your help deciding which locations to use," wrote Rocksteady on the game's forums in October. "To decide which maps to feature we're looking for cool stories, fond memories, or your favourite moments from playing these areas in Batman: Arkham Asylum or Batman: Arkham City."

Rocksteady received more than 800 responses, and using those, put together the latest DLC that will arrive this month, featuring fans' favorite maps from Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, completely remastered for Arkham Knight so that players can revisit those areas with the new game's fighting system and graphics.

The new DLC also includes quotes from forum posts from fans about why each map is special. The new pack is available to Arkham Knight PC gamers now, and will arrive on consoles soon.

It's likely that Warner Bros. and Rocksteady hope to appease PC gamers, who had multiple issues with the game after its release last year: for many, the game just didn't work. Not only did this prompt refunds for those who purchased that version of the game, but eventually, that version got yanked from shelves and digital stores until it was re-released last October with fixes.

However, even after the re-release of the PC game, Arkham Knight remained buggy and still had glitches and problems with frame rate drops. This meant that most PC gamers remained angry at the developer for what they felt was an inferior product.

The January update also brings a special bonus to Arkham Knight players: a Batman Inc. suit.
