There's a new Justice League cartoon in the making, and it will air on Cartoon Network. The new series is something fans have been looking forward to for years after "Justice League Unlimited" came to an end. However, some might not be pleased with the new direction.

The good thing about this news is that Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are returning to play Batman and The Joker respectively. We understand that they will be joined by James Woods as Lex Luthor and Diedrich Bader as Booster Gold. We are not yet sure who is playing Superman and Wonder Woman, but that should be revealed soon.

The new series will be similar to "Teen Titans Go!" in how the episodes are handled. Instead of a single 30-minute episode, Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. will fit two episodes in a 30 minutes slot, with each running for 11 minutes.

The timing of the new animated series is perfect seeing as Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are working on bringing the Justice League to the big screen. Still, we're not that much excited about the new series because the art design fails to grab our attention in a positive light.

The problem with the art design is it appears as if Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network are mainly targeting children. Justice League Unlimited and Young Justice had an art design that worked for both adults and children, but this, this is different.

Yes, we know that the Justice League animated movies and the series on "Machinima" have an adult oriented theme. However, the movies are not a regular occurrence, and the "Machinima" series is short and unimpressive.

It is becoming apparent that Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network are taking a different approach to DC properties. Aiming for children might have more to do with selling toys than anything else, which makes us wonder if the overall feel of the show will be similar to "Teen Titans Go!"

At the end of the day, let's just sit back and see how "Justice League Action" turns out before we give our full assessment of the situation. It's had to have faith after seeing the artwork, but we'll try.
