Jar Jar Binks is far and away the most hated character in all of Star Wars. He's unfunny, obnoxious and is personally responsible for helping to create the Galactic Empire. Even if he does turn out to be a Sith Lord, people have their minds made up. He is, in fact, the worst.

That's why it was refreshing in 2007 when LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga actually rewarded players for killing Jar Jar over and over again in the form of an Xbox achievement.

As pointed out by Reddit, the achievement is rewarded to the player upon "breaking" Jar Jar 20 times. "Breaking" is LEGO talk for killing, as after being defeated the game's LEGO characters burst into individual pieces.

We imagine this might be some of the best therapy available for disgruntled Star Wars fans still upset about the disappointing prequels. While Jar Jar isn't solely to blame, he has come to represent everything wrong with George Lucas's prequel trilogy. This way, you can take out your frustration by bashing Jar Jar over and over again, only for him to magically reappear and be destroyed once more. The joy of watching the character break apart into pieces never gets old.

To top it all off, the achievement is appropriately called "Crowd Pleaser" and is worth a not too shabby 20 gamerscore. Indeed, more than a few of the comments over on Xboxachievements.com state that the achievement is one of their favorites, with one player saying they bought the game just so they could kill Jar Jar repeatedly. "Killing him is always fun," one commenter writes, while another offers some helpful advice by saying that the fastest way to kill Jar Jar is to force choke him as Darth Vader.

While there are a number of other achievements that involve killing certain characters, like ones that involve killing the Emperor as Mace Windu or having Qui-Gon Jinn defeat Darth Maul, none require players to steadily kill a character over and over again like the Jar Jar one.

LEGO games have always had a great sense of humor, and this throwback achievement just goes to prove it. Though LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga did launch on the PlayStation 3, it did so before widespread Trophy support. That means if you want to be rewarded for killing the most annoying character in Star Wars history, you'll have to snag the game on Xbox 360. Judging from the reactions of other players, it sounds like it is totally worth it.
