Noke is now a project on Kickstarter that had already reached more than $120,000 worth of pledges, surpassing its goal of $100,000 in just one day. Moreover, the project has 29 days more to go which means that the number of pledges can still get higher.

The Noke (pronounced as Noh-key) Bluetooth padlock is designed to finally put an end to the frustration brought by losing or misplacing keys accidentally and by forgetting lock codes and combinations. It can even be shared with friends or family members which eliminates the need to borrow the other person's physical keys.

Indeed, the simple key has evolved from being something that's made out of wood to the latest innovative concept of using Bluetooth as a key replacement. Keys are designed to open locks which a society normally has in their cars, doors, buildings, safes, and more. The oldest known ancient locks, dated 704 BC, are found among the ruins of the Khorsabad, an Assyrian palace in the biblical city of Nineveh.

However, people were able to figure out that keys have their own imperfections which had also been observed back then. Since they are handy and can easily fit into one's pocket or purse, they are also easy to lose. Other issues would include the tendency for keys to be stolen and the inconveniences brought by sharing or lending them to another person which leaves the owner no other option but to wait for his keys to be returned. Even non-key operations or those that use only combinations bring a different set of issues. Codes have to be memorized and writing them down should always be done with precaution.

The people behind FUZ Designs have thought that it is high time to address these problems. As more and more people have their own smartphones, the team knew that using Noke would be as easy as one, two, three. The "lock busting teamup" of Noke and a smartphone will always give the user an easy and more secure access to everything that matters in his life. Furthermore, sharing that access is now done easily, safely, and securely.

Noke allows the user to create a custom access code to unlock the padlock just in case he forgot his phone or he ran out of battery. In order to enter the code, the user would just have to press down the shackle.

The Noke Bluetooth padlock is selling at $59 which is $30 off when it finally retails. The price is inclusive of shipping.
