LG recently teased that its upcoming LG G5 smartphone will include an "Always on Display." Two new leaks appear to confirm Samsung will add the feature to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

Mobile World Congress 2016 will officially kick off on Feb. 22, and both LG and Samsung will get an early start with press events scheduled on Feb. 21. LG will launch the LG G5, which will include a new design and dual rear cameras among its top new features. Most recently, LG posted a teaser image touting the LG G5 will also include a new trick, an "Always on Display," which will reportedly display time, date, weather and notifications without the user needing to wake the smartphone to view these.

We recently reported that Samsung was rumored to include the same "Always on Display" feature to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Now, two new leaks appear to confirm the next-gen flagships will sport the feature.

Russian blogger Eldar Murtazin, who has a solid track record of reporting unannounced devices, tweeted: "Samsung's Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will include an 'Always on Display.'"

Further confirming the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will feature "Always on Displays," SamMobile received a tip from one of its sources that Samsung has added a new theme to its Theme Store called "Cuzco." As you can see in the image above, the screen shots are a little blurry, but the theme shows something very similar to LG's teaser image, an all-black background with time, date and notifications in white.

While it's unclear how LG and Samsung will incorporate an "Always On Display" into the LG G5, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge without taking a major hit in battery life, all three devices will use Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 processor, which could play a key role in the new feature.
