Superhot is a newly released shooter game that features time-warped shootouts and slow-motion fight scenes.

Players are in total control of how they want the time to move. It will move normally once the player also moves and then slow to a crawl when the player stands still. The game doesn't really make a full stop, which means that players can still find themselves catching a multitude of bullets and then end up dying while they think of other options.

"Superhot is the first person shooter where time moves only when you move," says Superhot on its official site. "With its mesmerizing gameplay and unique, stylized graphics, Superhot aims to finally add something new and disruptive to the FPS genre."

One advantage that the player gets when he decides to stop moving is the opportunity to weigh the most precarious of situations at any part of gameplay.

Players can also choose from a wide range of tools to beat their enemies. These include a pistol, assault rifle, a shotgun, a katana and any black object that he can pick in the room.

Players can even opt to simply punch their enemies or knock their guns away by throwing their guns at them. Once the enemies' guns are flying on the air, players can also grab them and use them against their rivals.

"See the bullets crawling towards you as you carefully plan your steps and aim your gun. Enjoy the mayhem that is unleashed as you put that plan into motion."

While the game's two-hour story mode seemed a little bit short for heavy gamers, it also has other modes that will surely keep players glued on their seats. These include Challenge Mode a Replay Editor, Endless Mode and an Extras menu that contains mini-games and even more.

Superhot was first launched as a Kickstarter campaign on May 14, 2014 and in just a matter of 23 hours, the campaign already got funded. The campaign had successfully earned more than $250,000 from the game's community of backers.

Superhot is currently available on Windows, Linux and OS X and it is expected to launch on Xbox One next month. However, there is no information yet on whether the title will also be available to PS4 gamers.
