Upcoming action adventure third-person shooter video game, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, has been delayed again.

The game has been developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception was released in November 2011 and gamers have been waiting for the next game in the series for years.

In end 2013, Naughty Dog released the first trailer of the game and announced that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will be released for Sony PlayStation 4 (PS4). The game was slated to be released on March 11, 2016 but the date was rescheduled to April 26 this year. It seems that gamers will have to wait longer as Sony has now announced that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will be launched on May 10.

"As you know, Naughty Dog is wrapping up production on Uncharted 4: A Thief's End with the game on track to go gold and into production later this month. In an effort to meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one, we have chosen to postpone the launch of the game by two weeks to allow for extra manufacturing time," says Shawn Layden, the CEO and President of Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA).

The delay may disappoint those who were waiting for the game. However, in a way the short delay is good as the developer wants to release the game free of bugs and glitches.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has already been delayed a number of times and gamers will want that the new release date of May 10 is not pushed further.

"I'm okay with games being delayed a bit, but I do feel like nowadays there is no weight to a release date anymore. This looks like it could be the last delay the game will have, and I'll still enjoy it that's for sure. I just wish this weren't such a common thing," says a gamer.

Even though the game has been delayed, fans can still try the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End during the upcoming open beta multiplayer stress test that starts on March 4 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time and ends March 6 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

The beta client is available to pre-load starting March 1 and it weighs 7.6 GB. Naughty Dog pointed out that the beta version does not represent the final launch.
