The upcoming version, v733.0, will be updating console users with recently released PC version updates, v237 through v238, bringing both platforms on the same page.

The new event scheduled for release after the Easter egg hunt event that ran from March 25 - March 31 on the PC version, involves localized "Extinction Event" servers. These servers have been configured to have in-game timers that reset after each month.

Gameplay improvements involve: approximately 10 percent increased frames per second (FPS) for both rendering and CPU; the "Focus" button has been fixed to not appear on top of the "Leave Tribe" button which previously caused unwanted teleportation for console players; players stuck underground will be automatically teleported above ground which was reportedly previously abused as a glitch; mammoth skins have been patched to avoid weird colored textures that broke the feel of the game; under "Reset Options," timer values have been updated to correctly use their specified values and not reset to zero; split screen users can now use the "Spyglass" properly.

Server-specific updates include: players who own servers can now specify a list of users who can access administrative commands as is available in PC versions, this option will always be available for non-dedicated hosts and any user who has access to administrative commands can input codes on the "Pause" menu; edit boxes have been provided in server options wherein players can now input arbitrary values.

Game content added include the all-new Snow and Swamp Caves, as well as three additional creatures which add to the game's existing lineup of available species.

Xbox players can finally contend with the dangers of new caves that each contain their own specific set of high-level spawns. Console users will be facing enemies, ie. Yetis, Giant Bats, and Giant Scorpions, along with battling harsh conditions within the caves. The Snow caves require players to wear Fur Armor or Riot Armor or else risk freezing to death. Inquisitr describes water temperatures to be so cold that they can damage a player's health. Furthermore, deeper explorations of the cave equals lower temperatures.

The Swamp Cave, on the other hand, contains a suffocating atmosphere that will kill players if caught unprepared for the journey. Scuba tanks and masks are required to breathe or Ghillie Suits for an alternative.

Players who successfully conquer the caves are given rewards. An Artifact of the Strong is rewarded to players who overcome the Snow Caves while an Artifact of the Immune is given to players who defeat the Swamp Cave. Players can find high-end loot within the caves but previous reports suggest low-end equipment can be obtained as well.

Creature species will be increased by three with the addition of the Woolly Rhino, Eurypterid, & Dunkleosteus. The Woolly Rhino can attack players by powerfully charging forward; the Dunkleosteus is an armored fish which players can tame to harvest oil and stones at the bottom of the sea; and the Eurypterid is an aquatic version of the Giant Scorpion found above land that can be looted for Black Pearls, Chitin and Silica Pearls.

Details of the second phase of Breeding Mechanics is yet to be revealed by Studio Wildcard. Other updates included in the patch are yet to be detailed.

The new "Basilosaurus" which was previously teased on the developer's page has not been confirmed.
