Samsung has just announced one of its largest phablets to date. The Galaxy A9 Pro boasts a six-inch 1080p display, 4 GB of RAM, metal and glass body and a huge 5,000 mAh battery.

In late January, we reported that Samsung was supposedly testing a premium six-inch phablet. The device was believed to be the Galaxy A9 Pro and it soon made its way to Zauba, further confirming its existence. It then made a pit stop on AnTuTu benchmark, confirming many of its key specs.

Now, Samsung has finally made its long-rumored Galaxy A9 Pro a reality, and it's got some pretty impressive specs. The Galaxy A9 Pro boasts a six-inch 1920 by 1080 Full HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 367 pixels per inch (ppi) and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor and 4 GB of RAM.

The Galaxy A9 Pro includes 32 GB of internal storage and microSD expansion slot that will support up to 128 GB microSD cards. It packs in a 16 megapixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), autofocus, LED flash and the ability to capture 1080p video at 30fps and 8 megapixel front-facing camera for video chat and selfies. The phablet runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and updated version of TouchWiz, as well as a fingerprint scanner embedded into the Home button that allows users to unlock the handset and authorize payments.

One of the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro's star attractions is that it features a massive 5,000 mAh non-removable battery and it also supports Fast Charging. Samsung is offering the phablet in a choice of White, Pink and Rose Gold color options.

Samsung has only announced availability of the Galaxy A9 Pro in China, and it's unclear if Samsung plans on launching the six-inch phablet in any other regions.

As always, we'll keep you posted on any news regarding the Galaxy A9 Pro.
