Meizu's latest quality, budget-friendly smartphone, named the M3 Note, has officially arrived.

As such, those who are on the lookout for a new, affordable smartphone to buy will soon have another option to consider — the Meizu M3 Note that packs in an aluminium unibody, octa-core chip, 5.5-inch display and more.

The M3 Note comes after being the subject of a ton of rumors in the past. There’s no doubt, this phone is definitely an improvement over its predecessors, the M1 Note and M2 Note, in a lot of ways.

Right off the bat, the M3 Note rocks an aluminum unibody build, unlike its forerunner M2 Note, making the new phone look and feel like a premium device. Of course, while it carries an inexpensive price, the smartphone still features striking specs and features.

This handset sports a 5.5-inch display with 1920 by 1080 pixels. Under its hood, it is crammed with 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM, along with 16 GB or 32 GB of expandable internal storage.

The M3 Note is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P10 (MT6755) 64-bit octa-core processor with Mali-T760 GPU.

In terms of its shooter, the handset includes a 13 megapixel main camera at its back and 5 megapixel front-facing one for use in selfies or video chat.

With regard to its operating system, the phone runs Android 5.1 Lollopop. On top of that is Meizu’s Flyme 5.1 user interface.

The phone boasts a fingerprint scanner, named mTouch 2.1, located inside the home button. Meizu says mTouch 2.1 has the ability to unlock the handset in just 0.48 seconds.

In terms of its battery capacity, this phone has a large 4,100 mAh battery.

Consumers are given three color options to pick from, namely Silver, Gray and Gold.

Price

As for the price of this handset, consumers have to shell out 799 Yuan, or about $123, for the 2 GB RAM plus model with 16 GB of internal storage. For the 3 GB RAM plus 32 GB of storage variant, customers will have to fork over 999 Yuan, or around $154.

Release Date

The Meizu M3 Note is going to be available for purchase beginning April 11 via Meizu's official website and Jingdong Mall (JD.com).

Meizu may also be currently baking its Pro 6, its upcoming handset that is purported to feature a bezel-less display, a slim metal build in black, along with a fingerprint scanner.
