The Huawei P9 has just been unveiled recently, and this time around, it's the star of a good ol' fashioned teardown.

The show comes from Chinese technology website IT168, and the folks over there had the luck to get their hands on the top-of-the-line variant of the smartphone in question, revealing how the well-known Leica dual-camera setup looks like under the all-metal case.

Now, a couple of people might find this teardown version a bit odd compared to what iFixit brings to the table, particularly how there's no repairability score and how the descriptions are in Chinese, as expected obviously. Nevertheless, it gives a good look of what the Huawei P9 has under the hood.

What stands out from the slew of components are the mobile engineering masterpiece of the dual-camera system and the curvy flex cable for the fingerprint scanner.

As a little refresher, the pair of cameras clocks in at 12 megapixels equally with 2.2 aperture, while the front sports an 8-megapixel shooter.

Display-wise, it features a 5.2-inch display, pushing out a 1,080 x 1,920 resolution at 423 ppi. To keep the screen free of scratches and whatnot, it has Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Powered by the Kirin 955 chipset along with 3 GB or 4 GB worth of RAM, the Huawei P9 is definitely a smartphone to behold, not to mention that it has 64 GB of internal storage and microSD card support of up to 128 GB to make sure users won't run out of precious space.

To last throughout the day, it's loaded with a 3,000 mAh battery pack. As anticipated, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a layer of Emotion UI 4.1 on top out of the box. Also, it's fitted with a USB Type-C port at the bottom.

Long story short, this Huawei P9 teardown gives customers an in-depth peek of what exactly they're getting from the Chinese smartphone maker.
