Did a tweet posted by a BioWare employee just reveal plans for the next Dragon Age game?

The tweet in question is by Dragon Age series producer Mark Darrah. The tweet's message was pretty vague and only included a video featuring a booklet. The booklet itself is empty, but the cover features a wolf's head on fire above a castle.

Please note that the following contains spoilers for Dragon Age: Inquisition, particularly for "The Trespasser" DLC.

In "The Trespasser," players learned that Solas is actually an ancient Elven god, Fen'Harel, also known as the Dread Wolf. At the end of the game, he reveals that his ultimate plan is to destroy the Veil that separates the real world from the Fade, which would also destroy pretty much everything.

The booklet's cover image in the tweet features a wolf's head on fire, perhaps referring to Fen'Harel, as well as a castle, which could symbolize Skyhold, the Inquisitor's base of operations. That means that this tweet, obviously a tease of some kind, probably relates to Dragon Age, but how?

Considering the success of the Dragon Age franchise, it's likely the developer has plans on continuing the series, picking up with the story where things left off: with a new character needing to save the world from Fen'Harel's plans.

The most recent game in the series, Dragon Age: Inquisition, was the largest launch in BioWare's history, so continuing it is a no-brainer for the company. For fans of the franchise, a new Dragon Age game wouldn't be that much of a surprise, although they would probably prefer to see it sooner rather than later.

Darrah also recently asked Dragon Age fans on Twitter if they wanted to play a turn-based tactics game based on the franchise, but as to whether this tweet refers to that or not is anyone's guess.

If a new Dragon Age title is in the works, though, it's likely that BioWare won't make an official announcement until this summer's E3. So until then, Dragon Age fans will hold their collective breaths and wait impatiently to find out when BioWare will allow them to return to the fantastical world of Thedas.
