Settlers out there have a reason to rejoice today. Fallout 4 Survival Mode has already arrived on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, thanks to the new 1.5 update rollout.

As a little refresher, Bethesda announced on May 4, via a Twitter post, the news on the arrival of the new Survival Mode on consoles. This much-anticipated feature is going to give players quite a challenge as it comes with a slew of limitations, tougher foes and more.

On May 5, Bethesda announced that, at long last, the Fallout 4 1.5 Update is now live for all users on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and, of course, PC.

"[T]he 1.5 Update features the revamped Survival Mode, which incorporates a number of changes based on beta feedback," says Bethesda.

It goes on to say that the Survival Mode packs in more challenges that include diseases, saving only when you sleep, no fast travel, increased lethality, danger, fatigue and more.

"Characters set to Survival difficulty appear under their own Character Selection filter," Bethesda adds.

The update also brings support for the forthcoming Far Harbor expansion. Bethesda has also begun sending out Far Harbor beta codes for gamers on all three platforms. As such, if you are among the players who signed up in the Far Harbor DLC beta testing on any platform, you may want to check out if the invite has already hit your email.

Far Harbor, deemed the first-ever major storyline expansion and the largest DLC thus far for Fallout 4, is slated to land on May 19. Tech Times earlier detailed what gamers have to expect from this hotly anticipated Far Harbor DLC.

Apart from adding in the Survival Mode, Bethesda also packed a bevy of fixes for different bugs on Fallout 4 in an aim to beef up the experience for players.

For instance, Bethesda fixed rare crash related to reloading a save relying on Automatron. With the update onboard, robots can now be assigned as settlement vendors. Moreover, general Stability and performance enhancements have also been made.

A full run-through of the bug fixes is enumerated on the Fallout 4 1.5 Patch Notes.
