With barely a few days to go before OnePlus officially unveils the much-awaited OnePlus 3 smartphone on June 14, rumors and leaks pertaining to the handset are gathering momentum.

The OnePlus 3 was recently listed on OppoMart, which offered a glimpse into the smartphone's pricing and specs.

Now, the said pricing and renders of the svelte flagship from OnePlus have leaked online courtesy of Chinese tipster @Reviewer. The leakster has a good track record and has shared the images and pricing of the purported OnePlus 3 on Weibo, which is the Chinese equivalent of social networking platform Twitter.

Reviewer hints at a cheap price point for the base model of the third-gen OnePlus smartphone: $305 or 1,999 yuan. If the handset retails at this price, then rival OEMs could be looking at sleepless nights!

Interestingly, previous reports suggested that the OnePlus 3 would be priced between $350 and $425. The OnePlus 3 would also apparently have four variants, and the base model would cost $349 or 2,299 yuan. The other three variants would be priced at $379 or 2,499 yuan, $410 or 2,699 yuan, and $425 or 2,799 yuan.

Now, the newly leaked images of the OnePlus 3 also offer a peek into the smartphone's design. The renders seem to be intended for an ad of the OnePlus 3's transparent case, which is quite thin.

The renders are similar to those shown off in previous leaks and point to a metal casing, a massive rear-facing camera, and a USB-C port for the OnePlus 3. The bezels on the front of the handset are incredibly thin, adding to the sleekness of the smartphone. The OnePlus 3 also has a slightly curved back judging by the renders.

The smartphone is anticipated to sport a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Under the hood, the NFC-capable handset will probably house a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm and either 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM depending on the model.

The OnePlus 3 is also expected to boast a 16-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie lovers. The smartphone is also likely to offer support for a fingerprint scanner and will likely come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

With the OnePlus 3 smartphone, the Chinese OEM is officially set to halt the invite-only buying method as confirmed by the company. Thanks to this change, eager consumers will be able to lay hands on the handset from day one.
