AT&T is now offering the rugged Samsung Galaxy S7 active, the smartphone that's targeted at field workers.

Before this went live, rumors and leaks surrounding the handset were more than generous, and because of that, practically anyone keeping tabs on it already know what it has in store except for the official price and availability.

Now that it's up for order, customers can fork over $794.99 to get the Galaxy S7 active without a contract in one go, but that might just be a little too much on the budget.

Of course, the carrier is also offering some installment plans with Next Every Year to make the cost manageable. With these options, buyers can pay $26.50 a month for 30 months or $33.13 a month for two years and become eligible to upgrade to a new handset every 24 months or 12 months, respectively.

For those who interested in the Galaxy S7 active but need a little nudge to be sold on it, it houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 along with 4 GB worth of RAM plus 32 GB of internal storage that's expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card. Also, it boasts a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a Gorilla Glass 4 on top, pushing out a 1,440 x 2,560 resolution.

Basically, it's just like the Galaxy S7, but it's a whole deal tougher. On that note, it sports an IP68 certification for water- and dust-resistance, not to mention that it also features MIL STD-810G protection to keep things intact even when it's bumped or dropped. Another advantage it has is a 4,000 mAh battery, and to put that into perspective, the standard Samsung flagship is loaded with a 3,000 mAh pack.

To get an even better idea of what the shatter-resistant mobile can bring to the table, it's recommended to go ahead and take a look at what other smartphone enthusiasts have to say about it.

On the other hand, to get in on the action, head on over to an AT&T retail store to nab it as soon as possible. Alternatively, if time isn't of the essence, it can be ordered online at the carrier's website.

As for the colors it comes in, it's available in Sandy Gold, Green Camo and Titanium Gray.
