Monster Hunter Generations has just hit the shelves a few days ago, and as a piece of good news, Capcom promises to deliver free DLC on a monthly basis every first Friday.

It's a safe bet to assume that experienced hunters already know what to expect from this, especially the ones who spent hours scouring map after map and beating every foe in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. However, for those who are pretty new to the game, there's a July sampler that's up for grabs that gives a clear idea of what's to come.

To be exact, the current Monster Hunter Generations DLC includes Event and Arena quests that'll cough up a couple of great gears that any hunter would be sorry to miss out on. On top of that, it has Guild Card titles, backgrounds and poses; Palicoes; pet costumes and the Starter Pack.

Extras

Titles

In total, there are 20 Guild Card titles available, including but not limited to Super, Bros. 1-Up and World's Best.

Poses

There's only one Guild Card pose, but it's well worth it because it's none other than the iconic Mario Jump.

Backgrounds

The available Guild Card backgrounds consist of an interesting mix, as there's a Donkey Kong and a Super Mario design. The three others are USJ, Fairy Tail and Danboard.

Pet Costumes

• Pig in a Yukata

Now that's a lot of stuff to download, and just to be clear, they're all free of charge, just like the upcoming monthly DLC.

For the record, Capcom announced the big news via Twitter and a blog post.

Monster Hunter Generations went official in the United States and Europe on July 15 for the Nintendo 3DS. If you're not sure whether or not it's for you, feel free to check out our first impressions on the game.
