Lately, people have been going mad for crime content. They are obsessed with trying to solve and draw their own conclusions from murder mysteries and learn about what makes the alleged killers tick.

Now, Netflix has plans to further kill the competition and aim to be the best streaming service for this genre.

Netflix announced a new deal on Monday with 20th Century Fox Television Distribution that results in it becoming the exclusive streaming home for two of FX's hit crime series: American Crime Story and The People v. O.J Simpson: American Crime Story.

Based on the book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson by Jeffrey Tobin, FX's The People v. O.J. Simpson miniseries aired on Feb. 2 and concluded after 10 episodes.

The series from executive producers Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Scott Alexander, Larry Karaszewski and Brad Falchuk became insanely popular as it followed the true life story of the trial of O.J. Simpson, the beloved American football star who was charged with the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994.

The series starred John Travolta, Cuba Gooding Jr., Sarah Paulson, David Schwimmer, Courtney B. Vance, Sterling K. Brown, Nathan Lane, Kenneth Choi, Christian Clemenson and Bruce Greenwood, and focused on the behind-the-scenes dealings of the case, including the social landscape of the case in the early '90s.

Now, those who missed the series or want to replay its events can soon do so on Netflix.

"Given the popularity of the first season of American Crime Story, we are thrilled to offer this acclaimed drama series to our members," Sean Carey, Netflix's Vice President of Global Television, said.

The first season of the Emmy-nominated American Crime Story will be added globally to the internet-based streaming platform in 2017, expect for Canada. All the available seasons, including The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story will then hit the platform after its respective broadcast windows.

"We're extremely pleased to continue our relationship with Netflix on this groundbreaking deal," said Gina Brogi, EVP Worldwide Pay TV and SVOD, 20th Century Fox Television Distribution. "We are very proud of the first installment of this franchise, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, which has received extraordinary critical acclaim and perfectly captured the cultural Zeitgeist."

These crime drama series will be added to the growing list of titles in this genre, which includes the recently-announced second season of the Netflix original docuseries Making a Murderer. Much to viewers' delight, the platform began production on a new season that brings audiences up-to-date on the developing case as Steven A. Avery fights for his alleged innocence again.

Netflix continues to beef up its content for the years to come to continue to make it the must-have streaming platform. This includes getting the exclusive rights to stream the new Star Trek series from CBS and many CW series like Supergirl, The Flash and the upcoming series based on Archie comics Riverdale.
