If you want to relive the days of your youth and play Super Nintendo games on your iOS 8 device without jailbreaking, follow this guide to make it happen.

Nintendo has been on a roller-coaster ride when it comes to its gaming consoles over the last few years. The company experienced a huge comeback in 2006 when it began selling the Nintendo Wii. The console didn't have the flashy specs the Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 offered, but it made up for that by releasing the Wii with motion sensors that allowed gamers to get more involved. It was a winning formula for Nintendo.

The Wii U released in 2012 didn't continue Nintendo's Wii success and sales of the console have been extremely poor. On the other hand, Nintendo's handheld DS series continues to be very popular for the company. Nintendo fans have long been asking the company to release games for iOS, but Nintendo has stated multiple times that it will not.

If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 8.0.2 or lower on it, you can easily install a Super Nintendo Entertainment System emulator on your device, access popular SNES games, and do this all without jailbreaking.

iDeviceHype has created an easy-to-follow instructional guide on how to install SNES SiOS Emulator on iOS 8-based iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models that are running iOS 8.0.2 or lower.

"Step 1: On your iOS 8 device, open up the Safari browser and point it over to: iEmulators.com

Step 2: Go to the Apps tab, swipe down to SiOS, and then Install. You may need to hit install again.

Step 3: Go to Settings > General > Date and Time. Toggle Automatically Set to OFF, and manually set your date to two months back. If you see "unable to download" popup, just keep selecting Retry. Once you've set the date two months back, installation proceeds.

Step 4: Once SiOS has finished installing, open it up and tap Trust when the popup asks.

The emulator installation process is finished at this point, and now it's time to grab the ROMs and get your old-school gaming on!

Step 5: Go to CoolRoms (Super Nintendo Section) and select a ROM.

Step 6: Select 'Download Now' and then choose: Open in SiOS and the ROM will save in the SiOS app.

Step 7: Go into SiOS and select the desired ROM.

Step 8: Enjoy!"
