Samsung Galaxy S8 will roll out next year, and the company is pooling all its resources to make sure that the device cleanses the bitter taste that the Galaxy Note 7 left its clients.

Reports and rumors are rampant about the upcoming Samsung flagship, and a new report indicates that the OEM is planning to get an edge on Apple by pushing out an iPhone 8-like device months before the iPhone manufacturer delivers its 10th iPhone.

Information about the smartphone's specs are leaking in from all sides, but it seems plausible that the handset will be unveiled during the 2017 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, on Feb. 26. This would fall in line with Samsung's habit of unpacking its new phones at the event, a tradition that started with the Galaxy S2. This could mean that the flagship will be open for sale in March 2017.

A previous Tech Times report shows a slew of spectacular specs that could equip the Galaxy S8, making the handset a showstopper.

ETNews reports that Samsung is working on removing the physical Home button, thus leaving it and the fingerprint scanner built right into the display panel. What is more, the S8 will borrow a leaf from the Note 7's book in the form of the curved-edge display. The twist here is that the front of the S8 will be redesigned so that it is completely bezel-less.

Dual cameras are expected to be a feature present in the new flagship, but it seems that Samsung is still pondering whether to implement dual-lens or dual cameras in its upcoming top tier phone.

It may be no surprise that the purported features of the Galaxy S8 are resembling those of the iPhone 8, namely the display-embedded Home button and fingerprint sensor and bezel-free design.

There are no guarantees that the iPhone 8 could sport a dual-lens camera, but seeing how the iPhone 7 Plus already featured it, it is unlikely that Apple will remove the feature in its next phone model.

All the reported features are quite interesting, but until Samsung makes any official statement to confirm the leaks and rumors for its upcoming Galaxy S8, we advise readers take the news with a grain of salt.
