The iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus already have great cameras, but to those who want to take their shooting experience to the next level, Olloclip wants to help out. The company has just released three new camera lens for the two handsets.

Dubbed Core, Active and Macro Pro kits, the new lenses work within Olloclip's interchangeable lens system. This updated functionality makes use of Connect, a proprietary frame that lets the iPhone user easily swap the camera lens even when the smartphone has a screen protector installed.

The lenses themselves are significant upgrades to their predecessor because, in addition to existing features, they are capable of quick configuration. The optics also now has the so-called premium multi-element coated glass, which is precision engineered to deliver edge-to-edge clarity.

There are probably consumers grumbling about their existing lenses being rendered useless. Olloclip is, of course, blameless in this respect. The new iPhones now sport dual camera lenses, requiring significant changes to the company's lens configuration.

"Olloclip is committed to continually enhancing the mobile photography experience," Patrick O'Neill, Olloclip founder, said in an official statement. "That means giving full respect to mobility with no oversized, heavy lenses and paying strict attention to delivering beautiful photography."

As before, the Core, Active and Macro Pro kits allow iPhone users to use wide-angle, macro and telephoto camera options. Each of these kits are sold separately with different price points. For instance, enthusiasts must shell out $99.99 for the bundled 180-degree fisheye lens for 180-degree spherical effect, an advanced four-element lens for 120-degree wide-angle version and a 15x macro lens for excellent close-ups.

The Active lens, priced at a steeper $119.99, has a telephoto lens and an ultra-wide 155-degree action-camera lens, designed to provide more dynamic context to images. The $79.99 Macro Pro Lens, which is the cheapest kit of the lot, has three six-element lenses for different levels of magnification.

All kits, which will begin shipping next month, come with a wearable Pendant Stand, which keeps lenses accessible with additional support for a pocket-sized tripod. The lenses are also built with hinges that can swivel independently, adapting to the contours of the iPhone.

Those who will purchase the Core lens kit have the option to get an Olloclip case that has been specifically tailored to work with the lenses included in the package. That would, however, increase the price to $119.99.

It's not yet known whether Olloclip will also update the case it released early this year called Studio, which transforms the iPhone into a modular device.
