Those with an iPhone 4 might want to take extra care of the smartphone moving forward. Not only is the model considered vintage at this point, but it will now also be obsolete.

Apple is killing off the iPhone 4, and sadly in only a few more days.

According to the trusted Japanese website Mac Otakara, Apple's iPhone 4 will be obsolete starting Oct. 31.

That means that parts will no longer be made for this model and repair services will no longer be available.

This is because the device is know considered "vintage," which Apple defines as products that have not been manufactured for more than five years. It is when the product reaches seven years that it is considered to be obsolete. It is a law in California for Apple to offer support on its products for up to seven years.

While many people won't be shedding tears over the iPhone 4 - especially since it lived a full life and can't survive forever among newer and better models lie the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 and 7 Plus - it isn't the only product Apple is stopping production on.

Apple is also killing off the 13-inch MacBook Air that was first released in 2010, as well as the the third-generation AirPort Extreme and 2009's AirPort Time Capsule.

It's important to note that this is the obsolete list released in Japan, but the changes are said to be worldwide.

Those with an iPhone 4 might have noticed that they cannot update the software past iOS 7.1.2, so with the huge improvements to iOS 10, it might be time to let the phone rest in peace and upgrade.

The smartphone first launched in June 2010, and at the time was innovative with its 3.5-inch Retina display and A4 processor. The model was offered in 8, 16 and 32 GB storage options.

The CDMA model of the iPhone 4 has already been obsolete since last month.

While it's time to bury this smartphone, it's just the beginning for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models, which will probably continue to sell extremely well—especially after Samsung ceased production on its Note 7 devices after the replacement models following its major recall began exploding too.

Seems like the best time to hop on the Apple bandwagon.
